No Man's Land

Be prepared to get stuck into a longer and more unpredictable game than that experienced with most other scenarios. The unpredictability of this scenario will make instructions in this guide less useful than other guides, however the basic start up style and attacking style should provide you with the necessary inspiration to be able to complete the scenario no matter what the enemy throws at you.

Send a tank along the road to the West until you find the oil field near the edge of the map, build a well here. A turret may be useful, however due to the distance away from the enemy base this oil well may remain undiscovered for the whole game making the turret redundant.

Another pair of oil fields can be found around a third of the way towards the far end of the map, and spaced about a third of the map width in from each side of the map, send your tanks out to these locations. Wait till the first well is complete, or you are sure there is enough money to complete it as well as starting production of a new well, then build a well on one or the other of these oil fields.

When this second well is complete either build a third well on the other oil field, or play safe and build a turret or two to defend the well you've just built first, then build the next well. Once the third well is complete make sure each of these wells has at least two turrets to defend them.

You should now have a good income of oil, start continuous production of Tiger tanks. As these are built move them up to the location of your outlying wells. When attacks will occur is very unpredictable in this level, you should be prepared for one at any time.

Up to this point the enemy will have probably have been following a similar strategy, it's what follows next that will start to swing the balance one way or the other. There are a pair of oil fields in the central area of the map, between the two rivers. You should make sure the enemy do not establish oil fields here, if they do this will almost certainly swing the balance in their favour.

Send a squad of tanks to check out those oil fields, you'll find one on either end of the piece of land between the rivers, you find nothing there, you may find a strong enemy presence, you may find an easy target to destroy. Be prepared for whatever you find, retreat if necessary, destroy a well if you can.

You may choose to build a well on one of these central oil fields, however it will be very vulnerable and you may have a lot of trouble defending it. A better option is to keep producing tanks and use these to make attacks into the enemy territory. The layout of the enemies oil fields is roughly a mirror image of yours, find them and destroy them.

Don't expect these attacks to be easy the enemy will be strong, it's probably best to find a weak target hit it and run before reinforcements arrive. Without these attacks on the enemies oil production you will probably find they become too strong to hold off and your wells and base will eventually be overcome and destroyed.

If you feel you have gained the upper hand you can either keep producing tanks and push on into enemy territory trying to destroy all the wells before finally attacking the main base. Or alternatively solidify your position by building wells in the central area and use the extra oil production to overwhelm the enemy. Be warned, if you build wells you can't defend the wasted money may tip the balance against you.
